Jim, Sam and I would like to thank all of you for the prayers, hugs and well wishes that have come our way from you. You have propped us up during this difficult time and helped us each and every day. It's hard to express all that we have felt from you, it's like each one of you have helped carry a little of the enormous sorrow we have felt. We weren't able to send thank you notes like we wanted to, mostly due to the overwhelming support that we have received, but we wanted you to know how much you have meant to us.

You've sent beautiful flowers, cards, inspirational notes, email and written beautiful sentiments on Jake's web page, you've delivered delicious food and food coupons to us, you've contributed generously to Jakes' fund. You've walked with us, cried with us and we know that you are there for us when we need you. Everything that has been done for us is very much appreciated.

We don't know why this happened and we miss Jake so much, but we feel him with us everyday and know that his spirit will always be with us. We are very fortunate to have had Jake, who was such a loving, smart, witty, thoughtful, fun, imaginative, beautiful boy in our lives for 12 wonderful years. We also know how truly blessed we are to have the love, support and understanding of such beautiful friends, family and a wonderful caring community.
